Senior Site Reliability Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage the operations and architecture of mission-critical Federal region infrastructure to ensure peak availability and performance.
• Implement an "everything-as-code" strategy to design and manage resilient AWS cloud-native services.
• Maintain rigorous FedRAMP compliance through continuous auditing and automated security controls.
• Optimize infrastructure for multi-region scale to handle high-volume data streams.
• Proactively address complex operational challenges across the platform in collaboration with development and security teams.
• Develop high-quality code in Python or Go to support system automation and reliability.
• Manage Unix/Linux systems, kernel configurations, and client-server protocols for the government-grade platform.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen to work in a FedRAMP compliant environment.
• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of experience, Master's plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year of related experience.
• Experience building or operating infrastructure in highly regulated environments like FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC2.
• Ability to write high-quality code in Python, Go, or equivalent languages.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux systems, kernels, system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
• Knowledge of cloud providers, specifically AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally with Terraform, Puppet, and Kubernetes.
• Experience identifying cyber security risks and managing vulnerability and incident response processes.
