What you'll do

Architect and implement large-scale, distributed backend systems focused on scalability, performance, and reliability.
Design and deliver secure platform features for data storage, large-scale analysis, and algorithm development.
Investigate and debug production applications and systems to ensure high availability.
Develop test automation to validate system behavior and prevent regressions.
Own and evolve the backend tech stack by making key decisions on frameworks, tools, and infrastructure.
Lead technical design reviews to ensure system designs align with business objectives and engineering best practices.
Lead projects involving multiple engineers to deliver new features from concept to production.
Mentor and guide other engineers to foster a culture of code quality and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience developing, testing, and delivering software.
Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience with an object-oriented language, preferably Java or Python.
A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must possess deep experience in micro-services architecture and API patterns.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to work with cross-functional partners.
Experience as a technical leader and mentoring other engineers is preferred.
Experience with relational databases, no-SQL databases, or blob storage is preferred.
Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure and platform services is preferred.
