Senior SEIT Lead (Product Solutions) joins the Product organization to serve as the critical bridge between product requirements and successful realization for mission-critical communications systems. This role involves leading cross-functional engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines to move complex, ruggedized products from initial concept through full production. Key responsibilities include defining technical specifications, managing risk, overseeing Design for Manufacturing activities, and ensuring compliance with defense and aerospace standards like MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461/464. The candidate will perform hands-on testing using oscilloscopes, digital logic analyzers, and RF spectrum analyzers while utilizing Agile PLM systems. This role solves the challenge of delivering reliable MANET and MIMO communication links for defense, law enforcement, and public safety agencies in demanding environments by ensuring seamless transitions from engineering to production through rigorous validation and technical mentorship.
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines to deliver complex products from concept to production.
Translate product requirements into actionable technical specifications for design implementation.
Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and resource risks during the product development phase.
Manage Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities, including BOM management, cost analysis, and transition to pre-production.
Plan and execute comprehensive system integration testing, including electrical/mechanical validation and environmental qualification.
Ensure all designs comply with defense and aerospace standards such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers while enforcing rigorous engineering standards and quality controls.
Deliver project status updates and high-level milestone reports to senior management.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Engineering Technology, or a closely related technical field.
6-9+ years of experience leading physical product design, system analysis, prototyping, and driving products into full production.
Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
Experience navigating MIL-STD requirements and managing in-house or outsourced compliance testing.
Proficiency with Agile PLM systems and hardware test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and RF spectrum analyzers.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
Advanced deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills to resolve complex technical blockers.
