TL;DR · SEIT Lead
The SEIT Lead joins the Maritime Division to own requirements, interfaces, and verification plans for a maritime autonomous vehicle. This role involves leading the SEIT function and directing an MBSE systems engineer to manage complex subsystem integrations across structures, energy, propulsion, communications, and vehicle management. Key responsibilities include owning the vehicle requirements baseline, managing ICDs, defining verification and validation plans, and running integration campaigns including bench, SITL, HITL, dockside, and at-sea testing. The position requires managing technical budgets for mass, volume, power, energy, and buoyancy while chairing design reviews like SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR. Candidates must possess expertise in systems engineering for complex hardware and software vehicles, utilizing MBSE and SysML to solve industrial bottlenecks in maritime robotics and submarine production.
What you'll do
- Own the vehicle requirements baseline from program requirements down to subsystem specifications.
- Manage interfaces, ICDs, and change control across all subsystems.
- Define and own the verification and validation plan, including the requirements verification matrix.
- Plan and execute integration and test campaigns including bench, SITL, HITL, dockside, and at-sea tests.
- Manage vehicle technical budgets for mass, volume, power, energy, and buoyancy.
- Chair design reviews and drive actions to closure.
- Lead test readiness and anomaly resolution during at-sea testing.
- Direct the MBSE systems engineer and manage the system model for the program.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years in systems engineering on complex hardware and software vehicles.
- At least 2 years of experience leading integration and test.
- Experience owning requirements and interface baselines across multiple subsystem teams.
- Experience planning and executing verification campaigns on physical hardware.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Experience with AUV, UUV, submarine, spacecraft, or aircraft integration and test (preferred).
- Experience with MBSE and SysML, either owning a system model or consuming one (preferred).
