The Senior Security Operations Engineer joins the Security Operations team within the Trust & IT organization to prevent, detect, and respond to security threats across corporate and cloud environments. This role involves performing security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation while participating in periodic threat hunting and security exercises. You will lead, scope, and build features for tools supporting corporate security, detection and response, and infrastructure security domains. Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and operations teams to remediate security issues within SLAs. Required skills include experience with CI/CD systems, DevOps workflows, and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You must be proficient in deploying SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint tooling while possessing coding experience in Go and Python to maintain internal security tools.
Prevent, detect, and respond to security threats across corporate and cloud environments.
Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and detailed documentation.
Participate in periodic threat hunting and security exercises.
Design, build, and maintain tools for corporate security, detection, and infrastructure security.
Partner with engineering teams to remediate security issues within established SLAs.
Develop and maintain security tools using Go and Python.
Improve security configurations and drive positive employee behaviors across the organization.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or 5+ years of work experience.
Experience in a corporate security, detection & response, or infrastructure security role with responsibilities for alert triage and incident response.
Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows such as Buildkite, Flux, Git, and Terraform in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience deploying and maintaining security services including SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, and cloud security tools.
Experience with coding is required to develop and maintain tools written in Go and Python.
Proficiency with Go and other programming languages (preferred).
Experience with securing distributed systems in AWS, cloud, and Kubernetes environments (preferred).
Contributions to the wider technical community through open source, research, mentorship, blogging, or presentations (preferred).
