The Senior Security Automation Engineer joins the Security Operations Center to build and advance automation capabilities that strengthen global security operations. This role focuses on designing security automation platforms, improving detection and response workflows, and creating scalable solutions to help analysts investigate threats effectively. You will develop Python-based services and integrations, enhance security monitoring, and identify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence to security operations. Key responsibilities include leading technical improvements, supporting threat hunting, and shaping the automation roadmap. Required expertise includes Python development, enterprise security technologies for SIEM, SOAR, and EDR, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services. You must understand network protocols, host-based forensic analysis, and common attack techniques to translate security challenges into scalable technical solutions.
Design and develop security automation platforms and Python-based services.
Improve detection and response workflows to enable faster threat investigation.
Create scalable solutions for security monitoring and automated response.
Identify and apply artificial intelligence to security operations workflows.
Lead technical improvements and shape the security automation roadmap.
Support threat hunting and incident response activities.
Integrate enterprise security technologies like SIEM, SOAR, and EDR.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in information security incident response, detection engineering, security automation, or a closely related field.
Strong Python development experience building automation, tooling, integrations, or backend services.
Experience with enterprise security technologies for SIEM, SOAR, and EDR.
Hands-on experience with containers and cloud environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services.
Understanding of network protocols, host-based forensic analysis, common attack techniques, and security incident investigation.
Ability to translate security challenges into scalable technical solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Experience with production Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, front-end development, systems architecture, or applying AI/LLMs to security workflows (preferred).
Security certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, OSCP, CISSP, or comparable credentials (preferred).
