Senior Project Manager

What you'll do

• Lead large, complex data engineering and analytics initiatives from initiation through delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and RAID logs for enterprise cloud technology programs.
• Coordinate work across multiple technical teams, business groups, and vendors to identify and resolve dependencies.
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and improve delivery health using Agile and Kanban methods.
• Translate complex data pipeline details into clear updates for engineers, managers, and senior leadership.
• Proactively identify risks and issues across multi-team programs and drive formal mitigation plans.
• Manage headcount allocation, track budget variances, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Use data platform literacy to scope programs accurately and hold credible conversations with engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of project or program management experience.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience specifically in a data engineering, data management, or analytics environment.
• Data platform literacy including understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), data pipelines, warehouses, and BI tools.
• Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional projects with multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management foundation including scope, schedule, budget, risk management (RAID logs), and dependency tracking.
• Practical understanding of agile delivery methods including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and backlog management.
• Proficiency in program management tooling such as Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, SAFe, or similar certification (preferred).
• Previous experience as a Data Engineer or Data Engineering Manager (preferred).
