Senior Manager, Project Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of 15 project engineers to execute air vehicle modification and modernization programs.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership coaching to Program Chief Engineers and Project Engineers.
• Manage resource planning, manpower forecasting, and recruitment efforts for the engineering department.
• Oversee proposal generation, Earned Value Management, estimates-to-complete, and product technology roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and delivery through the use of performance metrics.
• Establish performance expectations, tools, and training programs for professional development of staff.
• Participate in strategic planning to impact business results and organizational growth.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, a graduate degree and 10 years of experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
• At least 7 years of experience in Project Engineering or Technical Project Management roles.
• Experience in air vehicle and systems integration.
• Proficiency in technical project management, technical estimating, risk identification, analysis, and contingency planning.
• Working knowledge in a relevant technical field such as Aero-Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Structural, or Software.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a minimum Secret DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience with FAA (STC) and Military (MTC) certification activities (preferred).
• Experience in prior leadership capacity, people management, and continuous improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma (preferred).
