What you'll do

Design and implement new developer tooling from initial concept through production.
Develop tools leveraging WebAssembly (Wasm) implementations within F5 data planes.

Profile and optimize the performance of existing systems and tools.
Manage expectations with software, architecture, and hardware stakeholders regarding technical requirements.
Coordinate with distributed compiler, architecture, and application teams to resolve problems and oversee improvements.

What we're looking for

Candidates must have 6-8 years of prior software development work experience or related experience.
Experience with WebAssembly is highly desirable.
Several years of experience developing for proxy, load balancing, or networking use cases in a commercial or open-source context are required.
Candidates should have experience shipping products across various paradigms including SaaS, deployed software, and customer-deployed infrastructure.
Proficiency in multiple development styles and languages, both static and dynamic, is required.
Strong design and analytical skills regarding tooling and developer experience are necessary.
Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and documentation skills are required.
A strong background in software engineering principles for crafting robust and maintainable solutions is required.
