JOB TITLE: Senior Product Designer, T&E
The Senior Product Designer, T&E joins the Travel & Expenses design team to lead ambiguous, cross-functional product work from problem definition through shipped execution. You will turn complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences, specifically focusing on travel booking, expense management, reimbursements, and policy compliance tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include owning design direction, defining underlying models for states and transitions, and designing AI-assisted experiences where agents handle manual tasks. You must demonstrate high craft in UX, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping while utilizing systems thinking to ensure consistency. The role requires partnering with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data teams to solve business problems regarding how employees spend and report expenses while providing finance teams with necessary control and visibility through scalable, high-quality design systems.
Own the design direction, vision, and roadmap for a core area of travel and expenses.
Translate loosely defined problems into clear scopes, milestones, and shippable product increments.
Define underlying models for states, transitions, and edge cases to ensure consistent product behavior.
Plan and synthesize independent research to validate design decisions using customer feedback and data.
Design AI-assisted experiences, including agent behaviors, explanations, and error recovery flows.
Partner with Product and Engineering to manage scope, sequencing, tradeoffs, and technical risks.
Contribute to the design system and raise quality standards through critique and clear documentation.
Mentor other designers through feedback, pairing, and sharing approaches to solving ambiguous problems.
What we're looking for
Strong portfolio of shipped product work, ideally across complex workflows, systems, or customer-facing business software.
Experience independently leading ambiguous product initiatives and turning loosely defined problems into clear, executable plans.
Strong product thinking to connect design decisions to customer needs, business goals, and measurable outcomes.
High craft across UX, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and systems thinking.
Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and other cross-functional partners throughout the product development process.
Ability to facilitate discussions, synthesize inputs, communicate tradeoffs, and build alignment across stakeholders.
Clear communication, strong feedback habits, and a collaborative approach to improving work.
