Senior Principal SDE

What you'll do

• Architect and operate distributed services that support the full data center lifecycle.
• Own feature delivery from initial design and implementation through production rollout and operational readiness.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive service reliability improvements based on operational data.
• Lead architecture and functional design reviews while maintaining clear technical documentation.
• Improve engineering velocity by strengthening code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps and execution plans in partnership with leadership.
• Mentor engineers on operational excellence, observability, and proactive service ownership.
• Reduce operational toil by investing in automation, self-service capabilities, and comprehensive tracing.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• The role requires 6 to 10+ years of experience.
• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred (preferred).
• 10+ years of full stack software development experience is preferred (preferred).
• Experience owning production services in a builder-operator model is preferred (preferred).
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, and/or JavaScript is preferred (preferred).
• Expertise in designing REST APIs and multi-tenant services is preferred (preferred).
• Experience leading architecture reviews and partnering with Product Managers is preferred (preferred).
