Chief Data Architect

What you'll do

• Design the enterprise data ontology strategy to serve as the foundation for all Palantir workspaces and integrations.
• Define the data integration architecture for approximately 100 legacy systems to establish real-time and batch data flows.
• Establish the architecture operating model, governance framework, and enterprise standards in partnership with IT leadership.
• Embed architects within product teams to guide implementation decisions and translate architectural vision into executable requirements.
• Develop a comprehensive training and mentorship program to build architect capability and create communities of practice.
• Lead design reviews for complex integration challenges, ontology extensions, and cross-cutting architectural decisions.
• Define analytical and operational data models to support use cases in finance, supply chain, engineering, and strategic planning.
• Codify data classification schemes, security models, and compliance requirements such as ITAR.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of related experience, a Graduate Degree with 13 years, or 19 years of experience without a degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for the required security clearance.
• Experience building and scaling engineering organizations, including hiring and training curricula (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience with Palantir or similar graph platforms (preferred).
• Proven ability to design ontologies, taxonomies, and data models for complex domain semantics (preferred).
• Experience integrating 10+ systems across heterogeneous platforms like ERP, PLM, and APIs (preferred).
• Experience working in heavily regulated environments such as defense, finance, or healthcare (preferred).
• ITAR, etc.
