Senior Platform Trust and Safety Engineer

What you'll do

• Triage and respond to internal and external abuse reports across Core CRM and Marketing Cloud platforms.
• Build, tune, and maintain detection and response rules using Splunk and SPL.
• Author and maintain automated response playbooks and standard operating procedures for incident handling.
• Partner with legal and ethical usage teams to ensure compliance with regulations like the EU Digital Services Act.
• Identify and document anti-abuse tooling requirements for engineering teams to close security gaps.
• Evaluate third-party vendor tools to improve detection capabilities across the platform.
• Perform end-to-end investigations including evidence collection, risk assessment, containment, and closure.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in information security roles involving platform abuse, threat intelligence, incident response, or threat detection.
• Experience managing security or abuse investigations end-to-end, including triage, evidence collection, risk assessment, containment, and closure.
• Specialization in at least one of log analysis, file-level forensics, or data mining.
• Ability to author detection rules using languages such as YARA or Splunk SPL from a command line.
• Experience with Splunk for detection engineering and SPL rule authoring (preferred).
• Experience with threat intelligence tools or teams (preferred).
• Experience with workflow orchestration or automation platforms like Temporal (preferred).
• Familiarity with evidence handling, privacy, data retention, and regulatory considerations relevant to security investigations (preferred).
