The Senior Platform Software Engineer - Project Merino joins the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team to develop Merino, an internal CI/CD change workflow platform. This role involves designing, implementing, and operating platform capabilities for OCI-scale orchestration, including build, validation, change management, and deployment workflows. The engineer will own implementation, testing, monitoring, and production support while improving workflow reliability, scalability, and developer experience. Required technical skills include proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Python, or Go, along with experience in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, containers, and IaC. Design, implement, and operate Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.

Improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.
Break down complex platform problems into clear, maintainable engineering solutions.

What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
Must possess strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.
Must have experience operating reliable cloud services in OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Must have experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, IaC, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
Must have strong communication and collaboration skills.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience using AI-generated code with strong review, testing, and ownership of production quality (preferred).
Experience building internal engineering platforms with a focus on developer experience and reliability (preferred).
