Senior Platform Software Engineer - Project Merino joins the team responsible for Merino, an internal CI/CD change workflow platform that orchestrates build, validation, change management, and deployment across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate platform capabilities to improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, and developer experience. You will build systems integrating release bundles, approvals, rollbacks, and deployment workflows while ensuring high standards for code quality and operational excellence. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, and cloud services across providers like OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP. Technical requirements include proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Python, or Go, along with experience in containers, orchestration, and IaC. Additionally, the role leverages AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to solve complex problems within the software delivery lifecycle.
Design, implement, and operate Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.
Manage the full lifecycle of platform services including testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Build systems integrating build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.
Improve system reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and overall developer experience.
Translate complex platform problems into maintainable engineering solutions and high-quality code.

What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.
Experience operating reliable cloud services in OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, IaC, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver maintainable solutions across complex systems.
