The Security Data Solutions Engineer joins the Cyber Data & Analytics team to develop next-generation cybersecurity data, analytics, and AI-powered solutions. This role bridges cybersecurity, data engineering, and product management to design and implement scalable security telemetry solutions for on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert for SIEM, threat hunting, and detection engineering, defining data requirements and roadmaps while building ingestion, transformation, and enrichment patterns. Key technologies include Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, Python, and SQL. You will also utilize logging agents like Cribl and OpenTelemetry. The work focuses on solving complex security telemetry challenges, ensuring high-quality data for incident response and risk management while spearheading AI and automation initiatives to improve cybersecurity visibility and operational efficiency.
Design and implement enterprise-scale security telemetry solutions for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Define data requirements, success criteria, and product roadmaps for security data initiatives with stakeholders.
Analyze source systems and log schemas to develop onboarding and normalization strategies.
Design scalable ingestion, routing, transformation, and enrichment patterns for SIEM and cyber platforms.
Establish data quality metrics, service-level objectives, and governance controls for security data products.
Spearhead the implementation of AI, automation, and self-service workflows to improve cybersecurity outcomes.
Lead cross-functional workshops to identify opportunities for improving cybersecurity visibility and operational efficiency.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data engineering, AI/ML, security analytics, SIEM engineering, product design, or related technical fields.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data products, data lakes, Lakehouse and data warehouse solutions.
Advanced expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, Splunk and cloud-native data platforms to build scalable data pipelines.
Proven experience designing data-driven solutions using technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark and logging agents like Cribl or OpenTelemetry.
Demonstrated product management experience including developing roadmaps, prioritizing features, and managing stakeholder expectations.
Master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or related discipline (preferred).
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Splunk Certified Architect, or equivalent (preferred).
