As a Senior Platform Architect within the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will lead the design and evolution of secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise infrastructure platforms for critical business services. You will manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure solutions, from initial engagement through architecture reviews, procurement, and production deployment. Your daily work involves designing networking, application delivery, and security architectures while driving modernization via automation and Infrastructure-as-Code. You will utilize technologies including VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. Key technical focuses include load balancing, web application firewalls, API gateways, and distributed infrastructure platforms. The role addresses the complex challenge of maintaining mission-critical financial services platforms that require stringent security, compliance, and high availability across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments to support global payment processing systems.
Design and deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Drive the full lifecycle of infrastructure delivery from initial business engagement through procurement and production deployment.
Create resilient networking, application delivery, and security architectures using load balancers, firewalls, and API gateways.
Lead modernization initiatives focused on automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and platform standardization.
Develop enterprise architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and comprehensive infrastructure documentation.
Mentor engineering teams while promoting best practices for performance optimization and operational excellence.
Ensure all infrastructure meets strict requirements for security, compliance, disaster recovery, and high availability.
What we're looking for
Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure architecture across data center, hybrid cloud, and distributed computing environments.
Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, application delivery, and infrastructure security including Zero Trust principles.
Experience designing platforms using VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP, load balancing, web application firewalls, and API gateways.
Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD integration, and configuration management tools like Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
Demonstrated ability to architect highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
Experience with distributed data platforms such as VMware GemFire or Apache Geode (preferred).
Expertise in performance engineering, capacity planning, and creating documentation using Microsoft Visio (preferred).
