The Senior Planning & Deployment Engineer will join the Data Center Build and Deployment organization to establish a dedicated Center of Excellence. This role focuses on end-to-end process optimization, establishing a multi-year strategic roadmap, and managing organizational change. You will lead current-state process mapping, apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies like DMAIC and Value Stream Mapping, and design future-state standard operating procedures to reduce defects. Responsibilities include designing technology overlay platforms for automated planning, managing low-voltage vendor governance, and developing capability curricula. You will utilize data analytics tools including SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, and Python to create executive dashboards. The role solves complex infrastructure scaling problems by harmonizing global standards, eliminating data silos, and improving build velocity for massive cloud infrastructure capacity within a high-velocity engineering environment.
Establish a dedicated Center of Excellence and a multi-year strategic roadmap for operational excellence.
Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies like DMAIC and Value Stream Mapping to eliminate process waste and defects.
Design and deploy an integrated technology platform to automate planning, material tracking, and deployment handoffs.
Develop a structured curriculum to upskill deployment engineers and program managers on operational excellence.
Create executive dashboards to provide real-time visibility into build velocity, defect rates, and resource utilization.
Manage strategic low-voltage vendors by holding them accountable to contractual SLA and KPI commitments.
Govern the Design Change Request process to evaluate technical and financial impacts on project schedules.
Lead organizational change management strategies to cultivate a continuous improvement mindset across global teams.
What we're looking for
Must have 10+ years of experience leading large-scale operational excellence, continuous improvement, or business transformation programs in cloud infrastructure or data centers.
Must be a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt (LSSBB/LSSMBB).
Must have a track record of designing and operationalizing a Target Operating Model (TOM) and Center of Excellence (CoE).
Must have a strong technical background in technology infrastructure, data center deployment, low-voltage engineering, or systems architecture.
Must have proven expertise in data analytics, KPI dashboard creation, and value capture framework design using tools like SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Python, or R.
Must have extensive experience in organizational change management (OCM), stakeholder alignment, and developing capability development curricula.
Must have demonstrated experience managing complex strategic partners, low-voltage vendors, and cross-functional teams in high-velocity environments.
Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
