Senior Operations Specialist, Engineering Testing

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee live testing for transport, deployment, and safety validation of autonomous technologies.
• Conduct complex tests to evaluate robot behavior and identify product defects or requirements.
• Provide actionable technical feedback to engineering teams based on test outcomes and findings.
• Exercise technical judgment to assess operational risks and determine when to escalate issues to engineering.
• Develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists to improve product safety and reliability.
• Analyze logs and use internal tools to investigate issues and track them through resolution.
• Generate comprehensive reports that identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members in structured debugging, documentation practices, and operational excellence.

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in autonomous vehicle, robotics, or complex systems testing in a live operational environment.
• Ability to exercise technical judgment and troubleshoot complex system behaviors in dynamic, real-world scenarios.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to investigate issues and communicate technical findings for product improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and present recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with tools such as Linux, GitHub, Jira, or Jenkins to analyze system behavior and track work.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior team members in debugging and documentation practices.
• Ability to develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists for product safety and reliability.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments where processes are evolving and continuous improvement is required.
