Senior Operations Specialist, Engineering Testing

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee live testing across transport, deployment, and safety validation for autonomous technologies.
• Conduct and document complex tests to evaluate robot behavior and identify product defects.
• Provide actionable technical feedback to engineering teams based on test outcomes and findings.
• Exercise technical judgment to assess operational risks and determine when to escalate engineering issues.
• Develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists to improve product safety and reliability.
• Analyze logs and internal tools to investigate issues and track them through resolution.
• Generate comprehensive reports identifying trends and providing strategic recommendations to engineering and operations partners.
• Mentor junior team members in structured debugging, documentation practices, and operational excellence.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in autonomous vehicle, robotics, or complex systems testing within a live operational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound technical judgment and troubleshoot complex system behaviors in dynamic, real-world scenarios.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to investigate issues, communicate technical findings, and influence product improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and present technical recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience using tools such as Linux, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or similar platforms to investigate issues and track work.
• Demonstrated ownership and leadership ability to mentor junior team members while driving operational excellence.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments where processes are evolving and continuous improvement is expected.
