As a Senior Network Administrator, you will join the Information Technology team to improve network resilience, reduce single-point-of-failure risks, and stabilize operations for the CUI environment. You will serve as a key technical resource supporting twenty-three active programs across multiple sites. Your daily responsibilities include performing senior-level administration, troubleshooting complex issues, executing secure network changes, and managing site expansions. You will work with Cisco switching and routing technologies including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and IPsec VPNs, while administering firewall systems like Cisco Firepower Threat Defense and Palo Alto. Additionally, you will manage Cisco ISE for Zero Trust architecture, configure TACLANE devices, and perform vulnerability remediation. The role focuses on the technical challenge of transitioning to a future eWAN architecture while ensuring compliance with Information Assurance requirements and maintaining secure network infrastructure across diverse program environments.

What you'll do

  • Provide senior-level administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for CUI network infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco switching and routing environments including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and IPsec VPNs.
  • Administer firewall technologies including Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), 802.1X authentication, and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Configure and troubleshoot TACLANE devices and manage related keying activities.
  • Perform network monitoring, analyze performance trends, and resolve incidents during service outages.
  • Execute patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration-hardening to improve network health.
  • Support site expansions, circuit activations, and the transition to future eWAN architecture.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and education, is required.
  • Current CCNP and Security+ certifications, or a CCNP Security certification, are required.
  • Experience with Cisco switching/routing (VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), Cisco ISE, and Zero Trust concepts is required.
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower (FTD, FMC) and Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama) is required.
  • Ten or more years of relevant network administration, engineering, or security experience (preferred).
  • Experience with DoD environments, STIGs, RMF/ATO processes, TACLANE devices, and SolarWinds (preferred).
