What you'll do

Architect, design, develop, and test embedded software firmware for mission-critical technologies.
Define and formalize system, hardware, software, and human integration requirements.
Execute engineering test, validation, and verification activities across various integration environments.
Implement protocols and algorithms for resource-constrained environments to enable communication between modules.
Ensure software robustness, resilience, and fail-safe operation while mitigating safety and security vulnerabilities.
Create detailed design documentation and technical specifications throughout the software development lifecycle.
Propose novel solutions to technical challenges and provide cost and time estimates for future programs.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM fields.
10+ years of embedded product software engineering experience or MS plus 7 years of experience.
Proficiency in Ada, C, C++, or equivalent languages.
Experience in networking protocol development and implementing protocols in embedded software/firmware.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) to access export-controlled information.
Must maintain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance (preferred).
Master's degree in engineering or computer science with extensive C/C++ experience for embedded systems (preferred).
Knowledge of scripting languages, version control tools, RTOS, and hardware debugging tools (preferred).
