Senior Mechanical Engineer, Display

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design and CAD development for vehicle display systems and integrated electronics.
• Create packaging concepts and virtual layouts that meet styling, manufacturing, and program requirements.
• Develop and maintain complex CAD models, assemblies, and engineering data using internal tools.
• Perform clearance analysis, tolerance reviews, and design evaluations to support vehicle integration.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to ensure components are optimized for manufacturing and assembly.
• Integrate subsystem designs into complete vehicle architectures while balancing performance, cost, and quality.
• Mentor team members on display design standards, CAD methodologies, and virtual integration processes.
• Release engineering data and documentation in compliance with established quality and timing standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field with 3+ years of product design experience.
• 10+ years of product design experience in lieu of a technical degree.
• Experience using GM engineering tools including NX, Teamcenter, Vis, Mockup, CAD, and data management systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, machining, and extrusion.
• Knowledge of vehicle development processes, engineering release systems, and CAE-supported design development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in automotive interior electronics or display system design (preferred).
• Experience packaging and integrating PCBs, electronic displays, connectors, and electrical hardware (preferred).
