What you'll do

Own the design, development, and operation of a high-scale distributed telemetry platform processing billions of datapoints.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and operational excellence of services within the OCI observability platform.
Provide technical leadership and strategic vision for a team of senior and principal engineers.
Define and execute a prioritized roadmap of features, platform investments, and operational improvements.
Drive engineering processes including design reviews, quality standards, and incident postmortems.
Monitor global fleet health to identify trends and mitigate risks in telemetry infrastructure.
Manage the full talent lifecycle including recruiting, hiring, and performance management for the team.
Represent the team in executive-level updates regarding technical direction, risks, and delivery status.

What we're looking for

Must have a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Requires 10+ years of IT experience.
Requires 5+ years of people-management experience managing engineers in a software development environment.
Requires 7+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems as a service owner.
Must have strong knowledge of Java, GoLang, C++, or C and experience with scripting languages like Python.
Must be proficient in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Requires working familiarity with cloud infrastructure and building scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.
Must have a strong understanding of ingestion, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
