What you'll do

Provide direction, oversight, and technical coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers.
Manage decisions regarding team resources, budget, tactical operations, and the implementation of internal processes.
Scale operating practices for AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation across multiple teams to improve delivery speed and quality.
Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering tools for code review, refactoring, and test acceleration.
Utilize Software Development Life Cycle toolchains and firm technology assets to drive efficiency and capacity unlock initiatives.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Identify and mitigate issues to execute a book of work while escalating risks as necessary.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of new and leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
At least 2 years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items.
10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software products.
Expertise in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA (OR) or Python with relevant microservices frameworks.
Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and popular UI test frameworks.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design, Test Driven Development, and automation frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Playwright, and Cucumber.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and testing.
