Senior Manager of Software Engineering, Fullstack

What you'll do

• Provide direction, oversight, and technical coaching for teams of entry-level to mid-level software engineers.
• Set and scale operating practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation across multiple teams.
• Establish measurable expectations for throughput, defect reduction, reliability, and security across the software development life cycle.
• Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted practices for code review, refactoring, and incident analysis.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Provide leadership with input on budget, technical considerations, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.
• Identify and mitigate issues to execute a book of work while escalating risks as necessary.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
• 10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software products.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA (OR) or Python and relevant microservices frameworks.
• Expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, React, and popular UI test frameworks.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design, Test Driven Development, and test automation frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify), Kafka, and monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, or Splunk.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, cloud-native web applications, and LLM implementations (preferred).
