Senior Manager of Software Engineering, Front office Trade Execution

What you'll do

• Provide daily guidance to software engineers on design, development, and technical troubleshooting for creative software solutions.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code while setting expectations for team output and engineering practices.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with internal teams and external vendors to manage dependencies and ensure outcome-oriented designs.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and team workflows in accordance with compliance standards and service level agreements.
• Scale operating practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation across multiple teams.
• Apply software development life cycle tools to drive efficiency and support capacity unlock initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience.
• Strong track record of leading software engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and understanding responsible AI use (preferred).
• Prior experience supporting trade execution platforms and familiarity with fixed income and derivatives investment banking products (preferred).
