What you'll do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a globally distributed team of senior research engineers.
  • Own the product roadmap by balancing efficacy, performance, and stability across millions of endpoints.
  • Direct machine learning work including model development, training data quality, and telemetry features.
  • Drive cross-platform protection parity for Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
  • Manage technical partnerships to gain early access to emerging operating system security APIs.
  • Represent the team externally by speaking at conferences and publishing research in Elastic Security Labs.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and deliver high-quality features on schedule.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing senior technical individual contributors on a globally distributed team.
  • Substantial hands-on experience as a security researcher analyzing attacker tactics and building protections.
  • Deep knowledge of operating system internals in both kernel and user mode, specifically for Windows.
  • Hands-on experience in reverse engineering and malware analysis to evaluate research findings.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate feature development and debug systems.
  • Export controls.
