Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage the delivery of scalable distributed systems and components on a 2–4 quarter horizon.
• Oversee optimization for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and ensure effective use of data plane platforms.
• Guide teams to design fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems with defined SLO-aligned durability and availability targets.
• Oversee the creation of telemetry, complex dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to monitor system health.
• Direct the implementation of replication strategies, fault-injection testing, and automated load-shedding mechanisms.
• Ensure proactive incident management, operational readiness, and consistent on-call coverage for core infrastructure.
• Drive security compliance by overseeing encryption practices, access controls, and remediation plans.
• Oversee the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to manage cloud infrastructure updates.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in the field.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience managing teams delivering scalable distributed systems and components is required.
• Expertise in optimizing high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and using distributed state tools is required.
• Ability to design fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems with defined SLO-aligned durability and availability targets is required.
• Proficiency in overseeing infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation for cloud infrastructure management is required.
• Experience managing security measures including encryption, access control, and compliance documentation is required.
• Ability to lead cross-functional partnerships and coach team members on strategic relationship building is required.
