As a Senior Manager, Configuration Management / Data Management, you will lead the specialty engineering organization supporting Space Surveillance programs. You will provide technical oversight, personnel development, and performance management while ensuring technical baseline integrity through disciplined change control and component lifecycle management. Your daily responsibilities include managing configuration control boards, overseeing the release of technical data packages, and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to manage product structures and address material shortages. The role requires expertise in engineering change management, obsolescence management, and hardware/software configuration practices within regulated environments. Key skills include proficiency with product lifecycle management tools, enterprise resource planning systems, and familiarity with EIA-649 standards or military contractual requirements for high-reliability aerospace and defense products.
Lead and manage the specialty engineering organization supporting Space Surveillance programs including personnel development and performance management.
Establish and maintain change management processes for requirements baseline control, bill of material alignment, and document release.
Provide technical leadership for configuration control boards and governance activities to ensure compliant decision-making.
Oversee the development, release, and audit readiness of technical data packages and product structure information.
Manage component engineering activities including approved parts lists, derating guidance, and obsolescence management.
Support failure investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development for component performance issues.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance configuration management efficiency, standardization, and cycle time reduction.
Define configuration management resource needs and deliverables for program captures, proposals, and startup activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience, Graduate degree and 10 years of experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
Active United States security clearance, Top Secret/SCI w/Poly.
Minimum of 6 years of leadership experience managing teams or technical organizations in configuration management, data management, or component engineering (preferred).
Experience supporting formal configuration management processes in regulated environments across development, production, integration, and sustainment (preferred).
Experience with engineering change management, configuration control, product baseline management, and technical data release processes (preferred).
Experience with obsolescence management, alternate component evaluation, and parts approval processes (preferred).
Experience using product lifecycle management, enterprise resource planning, and document management systems (preferred).
