Senior Manager, Application Development

What you'll do

• Lead cross-functional development teams to oversee large-scale projects and support functions for key business lines.
• Provide technical and strategic direction to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Direct, motivate, and develop team members to maximize engagement, performance, and professional growth.
• Translate business requirements into robust system and application designs in collaboration with architects.
• Champion the integration of AI coding assistants, modern development tools, and cloud technologies.
• Communicate with C-suite and technical partners to provide recommendations and manage governance forums.
• Manage project budgets, resource planning, and third-party vendor integrations.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and financial regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• You must have a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• You must be legally eligible to work in the location specified in the job posting.
• You must have 4-5 years of experience leading a team of developers and testers.
• You must have hands-on experience in .NET (C#) development, SQL Server database design, and the data technology stack (SSIS, Azure SQL, REST APIs).
• You must have experience with BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, Power BI) and Databricks for scalable ETL pipelines.
• You must have a solid knowledge of DevOps practices, including environment management, security, pipeline management, and release management.
• You must have a strong understanding of software architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• It is an asset to have familiarity with foundation AI models (e.g., GPT, BERT, Llama) and experience with AI-powered coding agents (preferred).
