What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code in Java and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Own end-to-end architecture and solutioning for Trust & Security data from concept to production-ready design.
Design and implement real-time streaming solutions using Kafka, including reliability patterns and data contracts.
Build data publishing patterns to the lake or analytical platform for both streaming and batch use cases.
Architect and model data stores using Cassandra and Oracle for specific performance and consistency needs.
Design service interfaces and integrations using REST and GraphQL with clear API contracts and SLAs.
Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
Proven experience combining data architecture and solution engineering in large-scale production environments.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, publishing data to a lake/platform, Cassandra, Oracle, and Java services.
Experience with schema registry, data contract design, governance, and building APIs using REST and GraphQL.
Strong SDLC discipline including CI/CD, testing strategy, code review, production support, and observability.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
