As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Performance and Resiliency Engineering within the Merchant Services team, you will focus on improving the performance and stability of critical, high-volume platforms. You will partner with application development and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks across the stack including database, network, compute, and platform layers. Your daily work involves leading load testing, capacity modeling, and performance tuning while implementing resiliency patterns like circuit breakers, rate limiting, and graceful degradation. You will manage production readiness through observability, incident triage, and root-cause analysis while driving safer releases via canary deployments. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS. You will utilize tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, KEDA, Karpenter, and Akamai to ensure peak-event readiness and optimize containerized workloads for high throughput and lower latency.
