As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Infrastructure Platforms and Foundational Services organization, you will join a technical team focused on building and ensuring the reliability of critical infrastructure. You will design and build tools and automation to reduce operational toil while improving the stability of core systems. Your daily work involves leading enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for root cause analysis, incident analysis, and log analytics to eliminate recurring issues. You will also drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality and delivery speed. The role requires expertise in Java, Go, or Python, along with experience in Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry. You will solve complex problems within a highly regulated environment, utilizing SRE principles, distributed systems, and infrastructure as code to enhance platform observability and resilience.
Build and maintain tooling and automation to reduce operational toil and improve infrastructure stability.
Lead enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for root cause analysis (RCA), log analytics, and pattern discovery.
Facilitate evidence-based RCA sessions with domain leads to identify causal chains and drive outcomes.
Assess and ensure the quality of RCAs by identifying detection gaps and monitoring weaknesses.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Implement SRE observability and reliability engineering, including SLO/SLI design and error budget management.
Develop automated solutions for incident analysis and corrective-action recommendations to eliminate recurring issues.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
7+ years leading or supporting Service Management functions, including Major Incident Management and problem management investigations.
Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI tools for coding, code review, and troubleshooting while ensuring security and data sensitivity.
Proven ability to conduct deep technical RCAs using disciplined methodologies like Five Whys or Fault Tree Analysis in enterprise environments.
Advanced expertise in infrastructure domains including networking, cloud, Linux/Windows, middleware, databases, and distributed systems.
Strong hands-on SRE observability skills, including SLO/SLI design, distributed tracing, and leveraging AIOps platforms.
Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
Advanced programming in Java, Go, or Python with strong CI/CD practices (preferred: experience with Terraform, GitOps, and RESTful APIs).
