What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and external vendors.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing within the SDLC.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through key architectural decisions.
Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert on specific technical areas and firmwide engineering frameworks.
Implement automation capabilities within the software development life cycle to improve value at scale.
Coach senior engineers on responsible AI usage, data sensitivity, and compliant engineering patterns.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and experience coaching engineers on compliant usage patterns.
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
Practical cloud native experience.
Proficiency in Go or Python for automation, tooling development, or platform service implementation (preferred).
Experience with MLOps frameworks such as Kubeflow or MLflow (preferred).
Working knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face (preferred).
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures and platform portability strategies (preferred).
