What you'll do

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for complex business functions.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve the value realized by automated processes.
Coach engineers on the safe, compliant, and responsible use of AI within engineering workflows.
Analyze large data sets to develop visualizations and reporting for the continuous improvement of software systems.
Identify hidden patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in Java 11+, including Java 21 features, and extensive use of Spring Boot 3.x and Spring Framework 5.x/6.x.
Strong experience with IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, Apache Camel 4.x, and building RESTful APIs with Spring.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, JDBC, Spring JDBC templates, stored procedures, and DAO pattern implementation.
Strong testing skills with JUnit 5, Mockito, test-driven development, and Maven for dependency management.
Financial industry experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Experience with AWS Cloud Services, including AWS MSK and cloud-native application deployment (preferred).
Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems (preferred).
Experience with Cucumber/BDD testing for acceptance testing and living documentation (preferred).
