What you'll do

Develop and extend tooling to automatically generate manifests and eliminate manual errors.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for high availability, performance, and security.
Set up robust monitoring and alerting systems in Datadog to proactively identify issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Kubernetes clusters and associated components.
Implement security best practices and conduct regular audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Kubernetes configurations and best practices.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and troubleshoot production incidents.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience as a developer using languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes platforms including GKE, EKS, or RKE.
Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in both cloud and on-premises environments.
Hands-on experience with GitOps practices and tools.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) and their associated Kubernetes services.
Experience with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and container technologies like Docker, ContainerD, and Helm.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and cloud-native microservices architecture.
