Senior Java Engineering Lead

What you'll do

• Lead systems analysis, design, coding, and unit testing activities throughout the software development life cycle.
• Develop high-level and low-level system designs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architectures.
• Perform consistent code, design, and technical document reviews to ensure quality and adherence to engineering standards.
• Mentor junior developers and act as a technical advisor for team members on implementation tasks.
• Identify areas of complexity and potential risks in existing application systems during the implementation process.
• Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements and present technical progress and ideas.
• Propose improvements to software architecture, development processes, and the adoption of new technologies.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in application development.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a technical team lead.
• Expert level knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and the Spring framework stack.
• Deep understanding of microservices best practices and patterns (Spring Boot microservices preferred).
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Git, JIRA, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Experience in systems analysis, design, architecture fundamentals, and SDLC activities including unit testing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable (preferred).
