What you'll do
- Construct, review, and execute robust validation test plans on emulation platforms and prototype silicon.
- Develop C/C++ based embedded firmware and host software tools for low-level system validation.
- Create Python scripts to control protocol exercisers and automate various validation tools and equipment.
- Drive technical debug and resolution of issues encountered at the complete system level.
- Collaborate with board development teams on reference board designs and new product requirements.
- Perform initial silicon bring-up and system-level integration troubleshooting for external customers.
- Create engineering notes, data sheets, and architectural manuals in coordination with technical publications.
- Educate Field Application Engineers on new product features and operations.
What we're looking for
- Legal authorization to work in the US.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience developing and debugging C/C++ based code for embedded firmware, system drivers, or host applications (emphasis on firmware and drivers preferred).
- Experience developing and debugging automated test scripts written in Python.
- Practical experience in system level debug using firmware debuggers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Understanding of basic PCB concepts and the ability to read board level schematics.
- Working knowledge of ARM architecture and firmware programming (preferred).
- PCIe (Gen3/4/5) protocol experience including LTSSM, system enumeration, and configuration space format (preferred).
