As a Senior HW Dev Engineer - Antenna Systems within the Leo Hardware Development team, you will contribute to the development of advanced antenna systems for satellite communications. Your daily responsibilities include designing and optimizing antenna system blocks, developing proof of concept systems and prototypes, and designing RF circuitry in collaboration with specialized teams. You will also design automated test systems, manage test fixtures, lead and review PCB layouts, and execute bring-up and test campaigns for active antennas. To succeed, you must possess expertise in board level analog and digital design, high-speed digital design including multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity, and proficiency with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools. You will utilize lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers while applying knowledge of transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, and power supply design.
Design and optimize various components of antenna systems.
Develop proof of concept systems and prototypes for next-generation antennas.
Design RF circuitry in collaboration with the RF team.
Design automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory testing procedures.
Execute bring-up and test campaigns for active antennas.
Lead and review PCB layouts using industry-standard tools.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of industrial experience in board level analog/digital design.
3+ years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity.
3+ years of experience using schematic tools.
2+ years of experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters.
Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering (preferred); familiarity with analog fundamentals and power supply design (preferred).
