Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the cradle-to-grave design and ownership of navigation systems for multiple Anduril products.
• Develop advanced sensor fusion algorithms using INS, GNSS, cameras, and LiDAR for diverse environments.
• Create and implement estimation methods such as Extended Kalman filters to improve navigation performance.
• Conduct trade studies, modeling, and simulations to validate algorithm accuracy and system robustness.
• Perform ground and flight tests to measure navigation performance and troubleshoot operational anomalies.
• Analyze platform telemetry data to validate the operation and performance of aerospace vehicles.
• Improve sensor suite calibration procedures for use in various aerospace navigation systems.
• Integrate navigation hardware and software into real-world flight systems across subsea, surface, air, and space domains.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• 3 or more years of experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering or related technical experience (for GNC Engineer role).
• 8 or more years of experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering or related technical experience (for Senior GNC Engineer role).
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++.
• Expertise in Kalman filtering, Extended Kalman filtering, and other estimation techniques.
• Experience characterizing, integrating, and testing inertial and non-inertial sensing modalities like INS, GNSS, vision-based, and odometry.
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development; hardware integration is preferred.
