As a Senior Guidance Systems Engineer, you will join the Guidance Systems team to provide leadership during analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases of system development. You will perform critical tasks within the Advanced Guidance Lab, including supporting Internal Research & Development activities focused on inertial guidance, developing test equipment, and creating Position Navigation & Timing tools and lab infrastructure. The role requires a strong scientific background in Guidance Navigation & Controls to solve complex problems in the defense and scientific arenas. Key technical requirements include proficiency with MATLAB, Model Based Systems Engineering, and AI. You will work with electronics, circuit design, FPGA design, closed-loop control, and embedded programming using C, C++, Python, and JavaScript. Additional skills include experience with LabView, estimation theory, filtering, data reduction, and microcontrollers to advance advanced guidance technologies.

What you'll do

Perform analysis, design, implementation, and testing activities for guidance systems development.
Support Internal Research & Development (IRAD) activities focused on inertial guidance technologies.
Develop test equipment, Position Navigation & Timing (PNT) tools, and laboratory infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership within the Guidance Systems team to advance company technology.
Operate basic laboratory environments and manage associated testing equipment.
Deliver integrated engineering solutions to meet evolving customer requirements.
Utilize MATLAB and other programming languages for simulation, modeling, and embedded systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field with 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 months of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Experience with MATLAB, engineering systems, and Guidance Navigation & Controls.
Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and operation of laboratory equipment.
Experience leading a team (preferred).
Experience with MBSE, AI, simulation/modeling, or Agile Method (preferred).
Familiarity with circuit design, FPGA design, closed-loop control, embedded programming, LabView, estimation theory, or inertial sensors (preferred).
