As a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer within the Physical Failure Analysis team, you will investigate complex product failures at the intersection of physics, process technology, physical design, and circuit design. You will perform physical failure analysis on advanced integrated circuits, deep learning processors, and system architectures to identify root causes affecting yield, performance, and reliability. Your daily responsibilities include developing novel methodologies for heterogeneous packaging technologies, performing mechanical cross-sectioning, parallel de-layering, and chemical or plasma de-processing across die, package, component, and board levels. You will utilize Focused Ion Beam sample preparation, optical microscopy, and electron microscopy including SEM and TEM to provide high-resolution diagnostics. The role requires expertise in semiconductor IC fabrication and advanced packaging processes to support design of experiments evaluations and process node improvements for complex integrated systems.
