As a Senior Physical Failure Analysis Engineer within the Physical Failure Analysis team, you will investigate complex product failures and provide critical engineering solutions for advanced integrated circuits, deep learning processors, and system architectures. You will perform physical failure analysis to uncover root causes affecting product yield, performance, and long-term reliability across die, package, component, and board levels. Your daily responsibilities include developing novel methodologies, performing mechanical cross-sectioning, parallel de-layering, and chemical or plasma de-processing. You will utilize advanced Focused Ion Beam sample preparation, optical microscopy, and electron microscopy including SEM and TEM for high-resolution diagnostics. The role requires expertise in semiconductor IC fabrication, advanced packaging, and assembly processes to support design of experiments and process node improvements while navigating the intersection of physics, process technology, physical design, and circuit design.
