As a Senior Engineer, Server System Integration and Debug, you will join the Data Center team to drive system-level bring-up, debug, validation, and failure analysis for accelerator cards, servers, and rack-scale platforms. You will perform end-to-end debug activities including issue triage, root cause analysis, and the development of robust test processes and operational infrastructure. Your daily work involves investigating hardware, firmware, and software failures while designing automation tools to improve validation coverage. The role requires expertise in server architectures, AI accelerators, PCIe, Ethernet, and high-speed I/O interfaces. You will utilize hardware debug equipment like oscilloscopes and JTAG tools, along with Linux-based environments and Python scripting. This position focuses on solving technical challenges within the domain of rack-scale AI inference solutions for next-generation liquid-cooled data centers and high-performance computing platforms.
Perform end-to-end debug activities including issue triage and root cause analysis for hardware, firmware, and software.
Investigate failures during the bring-up of accelerator cards, servers, and rack-scale platforms.
Analyze and correlate failure data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
Develop and document hardware and software bring-up, validation, and debug processes.
Design and enhance test automation infrastructure to improve debug efficiency and validation coverage.
Create custom debug tools, test scripts, and diagnostic procedures to accelerate issue resolution.
Execute validation plans for Ethernet, PCIe, and high-speed I/O interfaces.
Track and communicate the status of issue resolutions and corrective actions to stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, Master's with 1+ year, or a PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience debugging and validating enterprise-class hardware, firmware, and software systems.
Strong understanding of server architectures, AI accelerators or GPU cards, PCIe, networking, and system integration.
Hands-on experience with failure analysis methodologies, root cause investigation, and laboratory system bring-up activities.
Proficiency using hardware debug equipment such as oscilloscopes and JTAG tools in a Linux environment.
Experience developing debug and test automation tools using Python or similar scripting languages (preferred).
Experience debugging PCIe, Ethernet, memory, power, or signal integrity issues using protocol or logic analyzers (preferred).
Experience supporting server manufacturing test, failure analysis, system qualification, or rack-scale AI platforms (preferred).
