What you'll do

Own and improve end-to-end log ingestion into Google SecOps from source onboarding through reliable shipment.
Design and deliver scalable improvements to ingestion pipelines, integrations, and data validation.
Build and enhance ingestion integrations and operational tooling using Python and regular expressions.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across log pipelines as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Implement preventative mechanisms through monitoring, runbooks, and automation to reduce incident recurrence.
Develop monitoring and alerting aligned to platform SLOs/SLAs to improve data completeness and timeliness.
Manage schema evolution and backwards compatibility for high-criticality data feeds and SecOps integrations.

What we're looking for

A 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of software development and/or platform engineering experience.
Proven experience building and operating systems in a public cloud environment is required.
Proficiency in Python and regular expressions for parsing, extraction, and validation is required.
Experience integrating systems using APIs, including authentication and authorization concepts, is required.
Experience ingesting, transforming, and validating log/event data across various formats is required.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills in production environments are required.
Willingness to participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation is required.
