The Senior Engineer, Reliability joins the team to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of observability platforms and associated applications. This role focuses on supporting application health through monitoring, incident response, platform maintenance, and automation. Key responsibilities include validating operational readiness for platform changes, troubleshooting complex production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and executing reliability initiatives to improve recovery times. The candidate will partner with Platform Engineering and DevOps teams to mature CI/CD processes and enhance observability capabilities. Required technical skills include experience with AWS, Dynatrace, ELK, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds. The role addresses the business problem of maintaining platform stability during technology transformations and production deployments within a regulated financial services environment, ensuring that mission-critical systems remain operationally continuous and scalable.
Troubleshoot platform and application issues to restore service and minimize business impact.
Serve as an escalation point for complex production incidents and operational challenges.
Participate in incident triage, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
Validate operational readiness for platform changes, including rollback plans and runbooks.
Execute platform changes through established SDLC, change management, and release management processes.
Perform platform health reviews and performance evaluations to identify operational risks.
Maintain runbooks, support documentation, configuration records, and incident playbooks.
Collaborate with teams to improve monitoring, alerting, and issue detection capabilities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, production support, enterprise application operations, or related technology environments.
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise platforms, including AWS, Dynatrace, ELK, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.
Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents within enterprise-scale technology environments.
Experience executing technology changes through formal change management and release management processes.
Experience within financial services or another regulated industry (preferred).
Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment processes (preferred).
Experience collaborating with offshore, nearshore, or global delivery teams (preferred).
