What you'll do

Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, and performant data infrastructure for Venmo products and analytics.
Automate provisioning, management, and monitoring solutions for supported data infrastructure components.
Build and implement scalable data pipeline architectures to optimize overall system performance.
Develop message streaming solutions using technologies such as AWS SQS and Apache Kafka.
Create tools that enable users to transform raw data into actionable insights for business performance.
Manage and query relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases to process and extract complex datasets.
Resolve technical issues and provide subject matter expertise regarding large-scale streaming and performance problems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field of study.
At least 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience operating global scale high throughput AWS native data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Proficiency in programming and scripting using Python, Java, and Lambda.
Experience with big data infrastructure including AWS S3, DMS, EKS, Apache Spark, and AWS Glue.
Experience operating message streaming solutions such as AWS SQS and Apache Kafka.
AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
