As a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer, RD, you will join the research and development team to drive early-stage innovation for complex systems. What you'll do

Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across various technical fields.
Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis for complex "blue-sky" engineering problems.
Design, implement, and test complex electro-mechanical systems including power systems, sensors, and payloads.
Build and test early-stage prototypes while analyzing failures to transition projects toward production.
Manage vendor relationships and conduct market research to identify industry partners.
Lead design reviews and execute hardware test plans for critical system components.
Support high-stakes hardware demonstrations with customers and internal leadership.

What we're looking for

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
BS, MS, or PhD in an engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of mechanical and/or electrical design experience in a professional setting.
Experience in an immersive technical project and demonstrated leadership, ownership, and autonomy skills.
Proficiency in CAD platforms to create high-quality engineering drawings meeting industry standards.
Experience in PCB design and any ECAD tool such as Altium or KiCAD.
High competence with and fluid use of engineering first principles.
Advanced design skills for machining, composites, sheet metal, injection molding, and hands-on prototyping (preferred).
