What you'll do

Design, implement, and test complex electro-mechanical systems including optical systems, batteries, and sensors.
Execute rapid evaluations of engineering concepts using first principles physics for decision making.
Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis to solve "blue-sky" engineering problems.
Build prototypes, analyze failures, and manage the transition of successful projects into production.
Manage vendor relationships, conduct market research, and lead technical design reviews.
Develop hardware test plans and support critical hardware demonstrations with customers.

What we're looking for

Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in an engineering field or equivalent work experience.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Requires 5+ years of electrical/design experience in a professional setting.
Experience in PCB design using ECAD tools like Altium or KiCAD is required.
Must have hands-on prototyping skills including soldering, board assembly, and harnessing.
Required experience with controls, actuation, robotics, or motor/servo drive systems.
Must be proficient in reading and manipulating schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
Requires demonstrated leadership and experience in immersive technical projects.
