Senior Mechatronics Engineer, Electro-Mechanical

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and test complex electro-mechanical systems including optical systems, batteries, and sensors.
• Build hardware prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis to solve complex engineering problems.
• Lead design reviews, define hardware test plans, and execute testing at various sites.
• Manage early vendor relationships and identify industry partners for project needs.
• Execute rapid evaluations of engineering concepts across a wide range of technical fields.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.

What we're looking for

• BS, MS, or PhD in an engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• 5+ years of electrical/design experience in a professional setting.
• Experience in PCB design and any ECAD software such as Altium or KiCAD.
• Hands-on prototyping experience including soldering, board assembly, and harnessing.
• Experience with controls, actuation, robotics, or motor/servo drive systems.
• Ability to read and manipulate schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Experience in bare metal microcontroller design from schematic to bringup (preferred).
