What you'll do

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for high/medium-voltage systems, substations, transformers, and emergency power infrastructure.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to technicians during equipment commissioning, maintenance, and system restoration.
  • Lead structured investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies to improve system availability.
  • Act as the primary electrical engineering point of contact for internal departments and coordinate troubleshooting between infrastructure and customer equipment.
  • Conduct technical reviews for equipment expansions and communicate potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Advise on equipment refurbishment, replacement strategies, and critical spare-parts management.
  • Mentor and coach technicians and engineers through structured training and field knowledge transfer.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in mission-critical environments like semiconductor, industrial, data center, or utility sectors.
  • 10 years of experience with industrial power systems specifically within semiconductor FABs or high-availability manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with industrial electrical power distribution and hands-on expertise troubleshooting equipment in the field.
  • Proficiency in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification.
  • Authorization to access information subject to U.S. export control laws.
