As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the Cloud Hardware, Infrastructure Engineering team, you will own the electrical development of complex network switch platforms for Azure AI infrastructure. You will manage the full product lifecycle, including architecture definition, schematic design, layout, bring-up, and manufacturing readiness. Your daily work involves developing circuitry for switch ASICs, control-plane CPUs, BMCs, and high-speed Ethernet components while conducting SI/PI reviews and root-cause debugging using oscilloscopes, VNAs, and protocol analyzers. You will translate system requirements into technical specifications and provide direction to ODM partners to ensure production quality. The role requires expertise in PAM4 signaling, retimers, power-delivery, and SONiC hardware enablement. This position solves critical infrastructure challenges by building high-bandwidth networking solutions that support large-scale AI workloads within a complex data center environment.

What we're looking for
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Experience designing and developing board- or system-level hardware for networking, compute, storage, accelerator, or datacenter products (preferred).
Experience with hardware bring-up, electrical validation, and root-cause debugging (preferred).
Experience developing high-speed serial and high-current power-delivery hardware across multiple engineering disciplines (preferred).
Proven background developing Ethernet switches based on merchant switch ASICs (preferred).
Expertise in switch ASIC, CPU, BMC, CPLD/FPGA, clocking, reset, and power-delivery architectures (preferred).
