What you'll do

Triage product failures from production and the field based on severity and population impact.
Drive root cause investigations down to the electrical component and PCB fabrication level.
Implement design and process changes to improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability.
Collect and analyze failure data to quantify population-level trends and impacts.
Support production test, debug, and failure analysis at the board and system level.
Evaluate supplier product change notifications and assess impacts on the production environment.
Track and report on sustainment metrics, corrective action status, and open production issues.
Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations to maintain build schedules.

What we're looking for

Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
8+ years of professional experience in hardware product development, sustainment, or manufacturing engineering.
Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods like 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, and FMEA.
Deep understanding of fabrication and assembly-level failure analysis methods including CT scan, X-ray, and SEM image analysis.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics.
Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
Proficiency with data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or JMP to track failure trends.
Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations in a manufacturing environment.
